The intent of this extended essay is to explore and discuss why it is that people put themselves through the experience of fear through the medium of video games. It will also examine the reasons as to why players enjoy experiencing this feeling of fear. Then it shall be applied to the playable trailer of upcoming horror game, Silent Hills.
