This essay discusses how Bojack Horseman challenges the assumptions of the animated genre through its experimental format, character development and emotional realism. The show has reached new ground for an animated series with its unique structure and moving subject matter. The questions I aim to answer in this essay are how can strucuralism and narrative theory be applied to investigate Bojack Horseman and how Netflixs entry into original animaed programming Bojack Horseman transcends its genre with its relevance to sociology? This essay explores aspects within the series such as experimental format, character development and credibility, emotional realism and dark themes using structuralims and narrative theroies as analytical tools Overall I would like to prove the significance and pioneering quality of this show as an original animated series.[Abstract]. |
