William L. Galvery graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Vocational Education degree, has more than 30 years of industrial welding experience and is an AWS Certified Welding Inspector and a Certified Welding Educator. In 1996 he was chosen AWS District 21 Educator of the Year. Galvery served two terms as Chairman of the Long Beach-Orange County AWS section and serves as education and foundation chairman. He is currently Associate Professor of Welding Technology and Welding Department coordinator at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa, California
Frank M. Marlow is a Registered Professional Engineer and holds a BA and BSEE from Lehigh, an MSEE from Northeastern and an MBA from the University of Arizona. With a background in electronic circuit design, industrial power supplies and electrical safety, Marlow has worked for Avco, Boeing, Raytheon, Du Pont and Emerson Electric. He has served as both Secretary and Treasurer of the Long Beach-Orange County AWS section
