Dissertation note: In partial fulfilment of the B.A. (Hons.) in Ceramics 2019. Summary: The advent of new technologies in the craft studio has been met with varying degrees of acceptance. Our openness to these advances is intrinsically linked to perceptions of craft and the handmade, perceptions which have continually evolved. This paper considers the work and practices of three artists of differing craft practices - Faig Ahmed, Ingrid Murphy and Michael Eden, in order to explore how diverse both the making and understanding of new technologies are becoming in this new technological age.
