Tim Hindle is a freelance writer and editor who worked for The Economist from 1979 to 1989 and from 2000 to 2006. In the 1990s he launched a number of magazines including EuroBusiness and The Guide, an English-language introduction to the city of Istanbul. He has written books about business affairs and about Turkey. His home is in West Berkshire.
