This thesis discusses how Transgressive Art and the Disgusting Art is not the kind of art that can be viewed from the normal aesthetic viewpoint, but instead it requires a moral and ethical response, which is why it proves to be so problematic. Sometimes there is no clear yes, or no answer to whether an artisit has done is rith or wrong, it requires a careful moral and ethical analysis, which is what I have aimed to do in this essay, dissecting works from Marcus Harvey, Orland, Paul McCarthy and Marc Quinn, among others.
