In the contemporary hasty and materialistic era we are inclined to regard ancient legends and myths as mere fanciful fables without a realisation of their deeper meaning as bridges for understanding the complexity of the human psyche. In this essay I investigated the concept of Jungian psychological archetypes in mythology and highlighted their relevance in selected work of ceramics artists Catrin Howell and Christie Brown.
Thesis submitted for B.A. Hons in Ceramic Design 2015.
