This investigation discusses the impact of storytelling on society, explores structuralist and narrative theory models through analysing a work by Angela Carter and Neil Jordan and examines society's values by analysing Disney's Maleficent (2014) in comparsion to Giambattista Basile's Sun, Moon and Talia, Perrault's Sleeping Beauty and Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959).[Abstract].
