Today, the ethics of combat photojournalism goes far beyond the image that appears on the front pages of our newspapers. It has now developed into the media s technological realms; with continuous, up-to-the minute news reports that are electronically transferred and made available on our multi-media devices. This genre of imagery focuses our attention on the raging battles and wars taking place throughout the world, with the press depicting gruesome events with graphic imagery. Issues relating to ethical codes, intervention, image manipulation and what to disseminate, are all examined as part of this investigation into combat photography .
