The aim of this dissertation is to analyse ecological theory, mainly that of, Deep Ecology, Social Ecology and Eco-Feminism. I then compare three animated films, FernGully (1992), Wall-E (2008) and Princess Mononoke (1997) with those theories to see which environmental philosophy most represents the message being portrayed in which movie.
