The aim of this project is to carry out a research-based investigation into the way that social media platforms online are producing a new femal grotesque through the use and control of censorship, from significant cultural producers who are challenging this contemporary issue. The essay is examining the cultural norms of femininity and female beauty that are in place in today's society and how they are influencing ideals for women whilst adding to the issue of the new female grotesque.[Abstract]
