Billie Oliver is a Principal Lecturer in Children's and Young People's Services in the Department of Health and Applied Social Sciences at the University of the West of England. Billie's background includes working with children, young people and adults in community and voluntary sector settings. She has been closely connected with the training of Youth Community Workers, Connexions Personal Advisers and Social Workers. She had a lead role in developing the new Foundation Degree, Working With Children, Young People and their Families at-UWE and teaches on that programme.
Bob Pitt is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Health and Applied Social Sciences at the University of the West of England. Bob is joint programme leader for the Foundation Degree Working with Children, Young People and their Families and teaches across that programme. In addition he teaches social workers and health professionals at undergraduate and postgraduate level. His practitioner background includes working with young people and adults in statutory, community and voluntary settings. He has worked with Billie Oliver as an educator and trainer for community and youth workers, and Connexions Personal Advisers.
