Denis Ryan, PhD, BSc., Dip Prof Studies, Cert B.T., RPN, RGN, CAC is a lecturer in the Department of Nursing & Midwifery, University of Limerick. His professional background has been in nursing, addiction counselling, management and practice development. Patricia Mannix McNamara, M.A, Grad Dip Women's Studies, B. Rel SC. & English is a lecturer in Psychology, Affective Education and SPHE in the Department of Education and Professional Studies, University of Limerick. Her professional experience has been in teaching (second and third levels) and she is the Course Director for Graduate Diploma/MA studies in Health Education and Promotion in the University of Limerick. Christine Deasy, M.A (Health Education Promotion), BSc, Dip. Prof. Studies, Cert. B. T., Cert. Health Services Mgt., R.P.N. She is a lecturer in the Nursing and Midwifery Department of the University of Limerick and has in excess of twenty years experience working as a mental health nurse at staff nurse and CNM grades. In addition to teaching she is actively involved in programme development.
