Enhanced descriptions from Syndetics:

When originally published in 1972, this book was the first to document expressions of gay male sexuality as depicted in visual art, from antiquity to pop culture. This new edition has been updated by the original author and by Thomas Waugh, author of Out/Lines and Lust Unearthed. Gay Art provides a modern-day discussion about pleasure and permission: questions about how we define erotic imagery and what we should and should not be able to see.

Originally published under title: A historic collection of gay art. [s.l.] : Greenleaf Eds., 1972.

Includes bibliographical references and index.
