Contents:
In this extended essay I intend to explore the stereotype and stigmatisation of the term feminist. To try to understand where these negative associations have arisen from and why has the word become so dirtied to suppress its goals. Through exploring a brief history of feminism, from the first wave to contemporary examples in popular culture I hope to find out where it comes from and if there is a possibility of transcending this negativeity and saving the real meaning of what it is to be a feminist and recover the term use. [Abstract].
