This essay investigates the affect the lingerie industry has on the construction of femininity. It looks closely at the marketing campaigns and work of a selection of contemporary lingerie companies. It uses a theoretical framework of gender theory to analyse these images and designs to explore their impact of the discourse of femininity. [Abstract]
