This essay discusses where ceramic installation fits into the contemporary ceramic world. I investigate as to where ceramic installation work is finding its place between craft, mass production and the art-orientated ceramic world. As part of my research I explore the work of Edmund De Waal and Clare Twomey who both use installation as part of their process when commuicating their ideas to the wider audience within the contemporary ceramic world.[Abstract].
