This extended essay aims to argue the paradoxical nature of various social media websites. It questions if mere connection is a suitable substitute for communication, as previous generations would have understood it. It investigates whether this social media saturated environment, in which we live, has increased narcissistic values and tendencies towards loneliness within people today.
