Joan Van Emden was Director of the Jove Centre, a consultancy specializing in technical writing and presentation. She was also a visiting lecturer at the University of Reading, speaking regularly at conference, and is the author of Writing for Engineers. She currently runs courses in using your voice effectively.
Lucinda Becker is Senior Lecturer at the University of Reading within Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Management. She is also a professional trainer, developing and delivering courses in communication, presentations, management techniques and job-searching skills. She is author of The Mature Student's Handbook.
