This essay aims to explore how art work can lead to alternative solutions to the ecological crisis of landfill. Focusing specifically on two artist led projects - Wheatfield by Agnes Denes and Revival Field by Mel Chin. This essay critcally analuses the transformation of closed landfill wastelands into functional socially engaged spaces.
