505 0 _aMenswear is a fast growing sector of fashion industry and one which is currently outpacing the growth of womenswear (Wang, 2014). Menswear has become more cyclical and trend-based - akin to womenswear which has contributed to the growth of the industry. This gives an opportunity for both established and up-and-coming menswear designers to experiment with vestimentary codes through their design practice, which for many decades have had little to no change. Designers like Raf Simons, J.W. Anderson and Craig Green use novel silhouettes, fabrication and colour as well as branding to push a new masculine meta-narrative that may be an alternative to normalised masculine construct.
