505 0 _aThis essay discusses the positive and negative influences the mobile telephone has on the lives of the people who use it. Psychological side-effects such as Phantom Ringing and Vibration Syndromes, increased anxiety and sleep deprivation will be investigated as examples of unfortunate results of cell phone overuse. Meanwhile pleasant symptoms will also be explored; such as heightened feelings of community, self-representation and ease of interaction with others.
