This research aims to construct an argument for Sustainable Fashion Practices to be situated in contemporary fashion-education situations, including the development of some ideas for practical implementation using the Fashion Department of the Limerick School Art and Design as a case study. I am going to describe sustainability as a whole in the fashion industry. Then investigate sustainable fashion practices in Educational systems and researching practices implemented in each one. I will then analyse these practices and their necessity and challenges as well as modelling a holistic sustainable approach. With the outcome of the analysis I will propose sustainable fashion practices that could be applied in the Fashion Dept. of the Limerick School of Art & Design, at undergraduate level. [Abstract]
