City branding is an old concept but a new science. The aim of the study is to critically assess the strategic contribution of city branding, specifically a sport mega-event, for a host city. The research question is ' How does city branding for a sports mega-event impact the host city? This paper evaluates the challenges, solutions and outcomes of city branding for the Olympic Games and includes tentative survey results. [Abstract]
