This dissertation and the practical work associated with it have their basis in an interest in structuralist and post structuralist theories which affect the way we view and use text and other material in a visual art context. The aim of this paper is to explore the particular aspects of theory and their relationship to my practice and to examine the different aspects of that practice, from object making to video.
Thesis submitted for B.A. Hons in Fine Art (Painting) 2015.
